In an effort to protect this innovative, cutting edge training facility, an extensive access control and security system was necessary. After bidding to multiple security companies, the facility chose MCW Solutions, LLC, based out of Ashburn, VA, to design and implement a CCTV security system with extensive access control throughout the larger-than-life building. The facility stores rental and general member firearms as well as unique training equipment for police and first responders. After a lengthy needs analysis process, it was determined that a CCTV surveillance solution would be needed for general security and for the Forced Entry Scenario rooms allowing for an enhanced training experience. Ultimately, through MCW's proven design methodology platform, a turnkey GE Alliance solution was implemented. This solution provides 24/7 access control on all egress doors and strategic internal doors. The access control solution included: Magnetic Locks, Electronic Strikes, Motion Detectors, Glass Break sensors, and more. The solution also provides 24/7 Central Station monitoring for intrusion alert. This service is on a set schedule; however, it is dynamic and has the ability to change configuration and end user access within minutes. The CCTV solution is based on Honeywell DVR and camera technology. It supports up to 30 cameras strategically located in the facility, both outside and inside and accessible locally via the LAN network or internet.
